Eun Kyung Lee is a collaborative pianist, vocal coach, and organist whose career reflects a remarkable versatility across opera, choral, theatrical, sacred, and chamber music settings. Known for her expressive sensitivity, stylistic clarity, and thoughtful approach to partnership, she brings artistry and professionalism to every stage of collaboration.
For more than a decade, Eun Kyung has cultivated a diverse career in New York City and beyond. From 2013, she served as staff pianist and vocal coach at the Mannes School of Music, where she prepared singers for recitals, operatic productions, and studio classes, and worked with The New School’s School of Drama on musical theater productions. During the same period, she was accompanist and orchestral pianist for the New York Choral Society, contributing to performances in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and international tours throughout Europe.
Her experience extends to opera companies and summer programs, where she has served as music director, assistant conductor, and rehearsal pianist. She has held leadership roles in educational outreach, supported productions from early music to contemporary works, and collaborated with conductors, stage directors, and vocal coaches at the highest level. Her artistry has also been shaped by fellowships and young artist residencies at major training institutions across the United States and abroad.
In addition to her work as a pianist, Eun Kyung is an accomplished organist and harpsichordist. She has appeared in both liturgical and concert settings, offering continuo playing, organ obbligato, and choral accompaniment. Her ability to move fluidly between instruments and genres underscores her adaptability and breadth as a collaborative artist.
Eun Kyung’s commitment to teaching and mentorship has been a constant throughout her career. She has worked with singers and instrumentalists at every stage of training, from conservatory students to emerging professionals, guiding them in stylistic interpretation, rehearsal process, and performance preparation.
She earned her degrees from Yonsei University and the Mannes School of Music, and previously began doctoral work at the Eastman School of Music. She is now based in Boston, where she will begin her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano at Boston University in Fall 2025.
Today, Eun Kyung continues to embrace a wide range of career opportunities — from recital and opera collaborations, to orchestral and choral engagements, to teaching and coaching. She welcomes new partnerships with singers, instrumentalists, ensembles, and institutions.
Outside of music, Eun Kyung enjoys running, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.
